Somehow they’ve managed it in the past when neither team has scored right away. There have been ties in the regular season, and playoff games that have gone past one overtime period.
Baseball and basketball both play full overtimes until there is a winner; hockey plays a limited overtime, as does college football (in a different style). They’re all tired.
