2012 NFL Playoffs Discussion Thread

Yeah, based on today’s performance i’m not particularly optimistic. The Houston defense played a great game, but some of the Baltimore play-calling and execution was pretty awful.

I do, however, believe that the Ravens can play much better than they did today, and this year they have also saved some of their best performances for the toughest teams.

This should be a good game, apart from the annoyance of having to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.

I don’t really care who wins, but i guess i have to root for the Giants as the away team and underdogs.
ETA: That Kobe Bryant/Nike commercial was one of the dumbest things i’ve ever seen.

Oh good. Aikman and Buck. I believe that’s the same turdtastic duo that called last years Superbowl.

Hearing a lot of Giants fans in Lambeau chanting for Cruz.

I think those were actually boos.

I didn’t hear the same on the non-Cruz plays.

Fumble!

Challenge will stand. Damn.

Lots of time for Manning, and some bad tackling by the Packers.

Giants really don’t look intimidated.

What a dumbass play the safety there. More concerned with making a big hit instead making the tackle.

It’s a fumble.

No? What are they looking at?

That was a bullshit call on the video replay.

Lucky Dio isn’t still around, or the Green Bay/umpire conspiracy theories would have started already.

I’m rooting for the Packers through the playoffs, and I think that was an obvious fumble. I take it as a gift.

Mahbe Jenning’s towel touched the ground first…

Aikman really hates the Packers.

Nicks has some nice Yards After Catch in this game.

Wow!

What a TD! I thought they were going to try and get a few more yards for a FG try.

Nicks is having a [del]big[/del] huge day, with 150 yds and 2 TDs.

I want to know why Nicks couldn’t play like this when it mattered for my fantasy team.

Hail M…
Touch down!

Holy crap. Did not see that happening.

I disagree. It was an amazing game, but you can’t have that many turnovers and feel great about your performance.

I’m a little late on this, but the Jennings non-fumble was a travesty. It reminds me of the call in the Steelers-Broncos game. And the refs screwed it up twice, first by reversing the on-the-field call for no reason and then for botching the review. Crap, the refs seem to be getting worse these days.

Amazing Hail Mary as I type this! Woo!
