Why does everyone have to have access to health care? It does not have to be a right.
Because I think in a society as prosperous and as advanced as the modern American Republic, I don’t think its unreasonable that every citizen should be able to afford basic healthcare especially considering every other developed country has universal health insurance. I don’t see why you are asking this question-all your old-school Democratic heroes like FDR, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, and so forth would agree on me unequivocally on this point.
Of course we do, but the optimal balance looks a lot more like Sweden than the U.S.
Yes, a private SS system and no national minimum wage is a fantastic idea.
And their music. And their hair.
Because everyone has health. That’s like asking why everyone needs access to food. But then, I wouldn’t be surprised if your attitude there is “well then, let them starve”.
No Chronos, I want accountability and love. That’s all.
What is that even supposed to mean?
Spoken like a True American™. We want Guns, not healthcare!
Yeah, I want accountability and love, too. That’s one of the reasons I support universal health care.
Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?
It means a country where people do their part in making themselves and the country successful and having a lifestyle of opportunity.
I agree. The best way for this to happen of course is to have taxes on the wealthiest Americans and corporations reverted to the levels before Reagan came along. Have them pay their fair share, put those extra tax dollars to work with desperately needed infrastructure which will stimulate the economy, allowing more people to be able to buy more goods and services, making those same corporations more money than before. With added demand, those corporations will be able to expand, creating more jobs (because tax breaks don’t create jobs, demand for products and services does) and everyone will be accountable and there will be much love.
Well yes, public health officials agree that DerekMichaels00 needs to be accountable and thus use protection to prevent the spread of STDs when filling your eponymous bodily orfice. Don’t worry, President Sanders’s single-payer health care plan will cover condoms. Of course love, at least as of yet, can’t be mandated by legislation.
Many of us used to believe this, but now accept reality.
What reality is that?
So basically they want 70% tax rates, bracket creep, and so many loopholes that billionaires pay no taxes at all.
Your track record of knowing what other people want remains dismal.
That’s pre-Reagan tax policy. Did you not say you want pre-Reagan tax policy?
The Scarecrow called collect from Emerald City. He wants his argument back.
