Shoot! Sorry about that, I thought I’d checked all the names. Registered at Last also had them. From a big tie for Rush Limbaugh, to a tie for 8th place.
Racing driver from Germany, Sabine Schmitz, has passed away from cancer, aged 51. Many may know her from her appearances on Top Gear, but she was a champion driver and expert on the Nurburgring.
Aww, I liked her. One of my favorite of her appearances on TG was when, after Clarkson raced some supercar around the Nürburgring, she went out and beat his time in a van.
Here’s an excellent link to some videos of her racing (and entertaining) around the “Ring” including the Transit Van episode. She’s in a commercial van passing various sports cars and motorcycles flat out on the track. Amazing - Cancer sucks.Sabine Schmitz, Queen Of The Nürburgring, Is Dead At 51
I thought he was a splendid actor, one of the best. I mean, he got an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in a movie where you couldn’t even see his real face. That was Elephant Man. And that was with Anthony Hopkins and John Gielgud in the same picture. Admittedly, the latter was a supporting role, but still…
He was great. I watched him in all sorts of stuff, from Across 110th Street, to Alien, to Running Man, to Homicide, but I always think of him first as FBI Agent Alonzo Mosely, from Midnight Run.
