Thanks for the correction. I never really got into the show, so I am prone to making the odd mistake about it.
John Stahl, best known perhaps for playing Richard Karstark on Game of Thrones, has died at 68.
Coincidentally also beheaded.
I watched it when it was on but only vaguely remembered him on it. He just seemed to be an odd choice to play the father of a Frenchman with an English accent who is 7 years younger than him. So I looked it up.
From the themed thread:
Also,
Charles Csuri, pioneer of “Computer Art” whose students would go on to work on various projects such as Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and Toy Story, as well as creating the “Dancing Baby”.
And…
Emilio Delgado of Sesame Street fame has died. He played Luis. This message brought to you by the letters N and O and the number 81.
NOOOOOOOO! Not Luis! He was my favorite Sesane Street human!
Bob (“Bob”) McGrath’s still alive, if that helps ease the pain. He’s 89 but still going.
Fun fact I just found out about Bob:
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li in Japanese?
And now I have “Come on, Airlin” going in my head.
Traci Braxton, Toni Braxton’s kid sister, dies of cancer at age 50.
I don’t know if you can search threads in this format, so, did anyone have Hurt?
Thread search works rather well in Discourse – going up to the search icon, typing in “Hurt” and selecting in this topic yields four hits, none of which is a list.
I hate to ask this, but where is Discourse, and that search icon?
Yes, I am technically illiterate.
In the upper right hand corner, you should see a “B” in a purpl-ish box, a hamburger and a thing that kind of looks like a “Q” – that last thing (a magnifying glass) is the search function icon: click on that (or tap, if you are on a touch-based device).
Discourse is just the name of the interface we’re in, vs the old vBulletin. Just go to the magnifying glass icon and search “this topic” or similar (I post from my cell phone, so my menu options may not appear the same as your options if you’re on your computer).
Bobbie Nelson, sister of Willie and piano player in his band for 40 years, died last week at 91.
