Marshall Tucker was a real person, not just a band name. Marshall Tucker, Namesake of Iconic Southern Rock Band, Has Died | Saving Country Music
That is an awesome story! I knew that there was no “Marshall Tucker” in the band but had no idea he was a real person.
One thing I don’t get, though - why would you need a warehouse for a piano tuning business? It seems like you would need to go where the pianos are.
I don’t get the need for a warehouse either. Piano tuning equipment isn’t that big.
I used to work with a guy that did piano tuning as a side job, and he would also buy and sell used pianos. He didn’t have a warehouse, but his two-car garage was jammed full of old pianos and piano parts. What used to be regular customers would no longer need his services when their piano-student kid grew up and moved away, and they now had an unused piano in the house. Sometimes he paid nothing for it - they were happy to have it gone without paying a removal company.
Maybe Marshall Tucker did the same thing. Seems like a natural side-line for a piano tuner.
Good point.
Joe Kittinger, US pilot who parachuted to Earth in 1960 from a record-breaking 19 miles above the Earth, has died at age 94.
That was a long free fall.
Male model Jeremy Ruehlemann has died at the age of 27.
Not the best sources but the Daily Mail and NY Post have direct quotes from his father stating it was an accidental drug overdose and that he’s been struggling with addiction for awhile.
Honestly, whenever I hear about someone younger than 35 dying, that’s my default assumption.
There has to be a way to find people like Ruehlemann before they give up points.
To anyone who had heard of him he had all the makings of a great Death Pool candidate: He had a history of being a druggo, he ‘socialized’ with the wealthy night-club going crowd, was at the magical age of 27, and the kicker: tattooed on his throat was the phrase I Will Never Die
I’m obviously not in tune with the world of high fashion. All the local media covered his death because he was a relatively local kid. I never heard of him until now.
Just out of curiosity because I’m sure nobody had Julian Sands, but at what point does a death become official? We’re talking about 35 sweet, sweet points in this particular case!
He didn’t kill himself, did he? He got lost hiking as far as we know?
I would hold out hope unless they know for sure the area is unsurvivable while lost.
There was the issue with Steve Fossett – He disappeared in September 2007 but it was more than a year later that the plane wreckage was found.
