2023 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

Yes, I am hearing a tragic accident took his life, but no more details. What a unfortunate boy, to go through so much and die so young. I feel sad for his family, who lost him…got him back…and lost him now forever.

Former NFL player Stanley Wilson jr. has died at 40 after collapsing inside of a mental hospital.

This one seemed to have been missed. Kelly Monteith died January 1st. He was an American comic that had more success in the UK than in the US. I remember watching his BBC show when it was shown here. Integrating stand up into the show and breaking the 4th wall inspired shows from Sienfeld and Shandling.

I remember that name but I can’t remember from where. Not BBC, maybe late night talk spots?

Comedian Larry Garza dead at 41 from cancer… the DeathShroom celebrates.

I don’t remember where in the US his show was broadcast. I know Carson liked him and put him on. His stand up was just ok to me. I did enjoy his show.

Tim McCarver has called his last pitch at age 81.

I had him on my Themed death pool for the past several years, but removed him this year. Of course.

He hasn’t died but anyone who had Bruce Willis on their list just received a reason to be…um, optimistic:

From your link:

The association describes frontotemporal degeneration as “an inevitable decline in functioning," with an average life expectancy of seven to 13 years after the onset of symptoms.

So maybe not imminent but still sad.

Murderer! A deed most foul. If only I had that power to disembowel the GQP and Russian leadership.

Former Disney exec turned self-help author Dave Hollis has died at 47.

Well, I’m not fixin’ to take advice from a guy that dies at 47.

That article is very short on telling me who Kellie Pickler is.

She was a perky little country girl on American Idol I don’t know how many years ago.

Wasted opportunity.
Well, I’m not Fixxin’ to take advice…

Goodness, can you believe that was 16 years ago?

Sad for her, obviously. Hugely tragic.

She had her own talk show for a while.

Objectively, this could be great for her career. She might be able to write a hit song or two about working her way through the grief.
