2023 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

I know it’s a year old, but the coroner’s report said he had the temperature in his apartment cranked all the way up and had apparently been working out in the high heat and humidity.

A relatively common manifestation of Ecstasy toxicity is hyperthermia. If someone’s working out, especially in a hot room, and has taken ecstasy, hyperthermia, severe life-threatening hyperthermia, could certainly develop.

This was in Frisco, in June.Unlike San Francisco, it gets hot in Frisco in the summertime. If your A/C is off, your apartment can take on heat pretty fast, and they you gain lassitude – I could see a person sit down, pass out, and basically simmer away. Age is mostly irrelevant in the heat.

I picked him last year because of a former teammate tweeting that he was worried about his mental state and well being. I have the impression he was not thinking too clearly.

Former manager, pitcher Roger Craig passes away at 7 runs.

For the hapless 1962 Mets he was the ace of the pitching staff. He lost 24 games.

Have to admit I’d never heard of him but here’s eight points if anyone had him:

Norma Hunt, wife of Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt and mother of current CEO Clark Hunt, dies at 85.

She was the only woman to have attended each of the 57 Super Bowl games.

Bummer. I drive a white Dodge Challenger because of that movie. I’m just about to re-register it; I think I’ll get vanity plates: VNSH PT. I wonder if anyone will get it.

Everyone would get it, Mary.

Traitor, but what a fascinating individual.

Goes to church, lives his life, takes tons of money from Russia(I think?) and is betraying his country to them all the time.

Just amazing what people can do and go about their lives.

Jim Hines, Olympic gold medalist, has run his last race. Age 76.

You forget about having his friend tape him and his wife having sex, without her knowledge.

I had indeed forgotten. I’d read articles, never read a book or seen one of the movies made about him.

Anyway, yes…huge loser and good riddance.

Hassen’s passing is probably the feel-good story of the day. Twenty-something years in super max. Imagine that.

It wasn;t enough. He should have been executed.

You have to wonder if he had traumatic brain injury from his playing days. Seems like he’s been having problems for a long time. His wiki has some details and this article says he was detained for a mental evaluation by police. The Cowboys had no comment.
