Tatum out for most if not all of next season.
Joining Lillard with the same injury.
Pacers won last night to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, erasing a 16-point second-quarter deficit. Tyrese was hitting shots from the logo in the second.
We await the winner of Celtics/Knicks. Game 1 will be on Wednesday, May 21, and the East Finals are exclusive to TNT.
That’s such a shame.
there go my Cavs. sigh. A lot of potential excuses if you are interested in that sort of thing (injuries, etc.) but the fact is they just did not play well enough to win that series. So many of their players coming up small in that series. Disappointing end to a very fun season.
Combining the regular season and playoffs, the Cavs were 0-5 against the Pacers at home, and 36-5 against the rest of the league.
I would never have predicted a Celtics blow out without Tatum in the lineup.
Timberwolves advance!
Knicks, do your thing. One more game.
Knicks handled their business with a 39-point drubbing of the Celtics to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Hicks vs. Knicks again! GO PACERS!
If the Knicks win it all, it will be thanks to hustle defensive plays like this one (plus Brunson’s offensive creativity, and Robinson making more free throws than expected):
The celebration was a little over the top for a second round playoff win. Pretend you’ve been there before. Need 8 more wins to have something to celebrate.
It’s been 25 years since the Knicks made the conference finals, it is very likely the grand majority of those celebrating have not actually been there before.
That’s why I said pretend. Even if you haven’t been here before you still haven’t won anything. What they did 25 years ago is looked at with disappointment not celebration. But sure celebrate now. I don’t think they are going any further.
More bad news for the Celtics: Jaylen Brown was playing with a meniscus tear. He’ll be evaluated this week to see if surgery will be needed.
Sucks for him. Not so much for his team. It’s not like having a ruptured Achilles. Even if he needs surgery he should be good by the beginning of the season.
Thunder destroy Nuggets after halftime. 125 - 93. Nuggets were limping, didn’t shoot well and were a turnover machine (on the bad side).
I forgot about it and only caught the last 40 seconds. What a blowout. At least I won’t have to watch that lunatic Westbrook in the Timberwolves matchup.

The Thunder in a blowout over the Wolves. That’s what happens when only two players bother to show up for the game. It will be an easy sweep if this keeps up.
Fun wild stuff. Pacers overcame the deficit to stun the Knicks in OT.
