2024/2025 NBA Regular Season Thread

T-wolves blew the opener despite a comeback in the 4th. Idiots.

Knicks come back from down 20 to win by one. Knicks were crap against contenders during regular season. Glad I don’t bet.

Thunder with 85 points AT THE HALF. Up 29.

Celtics and Cavs being 0-4 in the second round is crazy.

Wolves took advantage of the Curry-less Warriors for a win. It looked like Edwards was out after an ankle sprain, but he came back to score 20. Curry will be reevaluated in a few days, so MN needs to capitalize on his absence. Draymond Green was his usual thuggish self, racking up another technical for clotheslining. He almost got himself ejected when he started yelling at the refs after the call. He’s on the verge of having to sit out a game if he gets any more.

He’s not. There is no player more untouchable in the NBA than Draymond Green after he’s gotten one technical or a flagrant.

Pacers got beaten pretty badly by the Cavs in Game 3, but there were a few encouraging signs - such as the Pacers coming back from down 15 in the first quarter to tie it after one.

Tyrese Haliburton was a non-factor, scoring only 4 points.

Donovan Mitchell with the spin move and tough lay in

After a dismal first half, the Wolves finally got their act together and managed to eke out a 5-point win over GS. I wish Edwards would get his shit together before the second half. Maybe he’s saving himself? Randle once again shows his worth. GS was really tough on defense in this one. And Draymond was all smiles and buddy-buddy with everyone. I’m not fooled by it.

Pacers came back to dominate in Game 4. We were up by 41 at halftime and won by 20. Donovan Mitchell injured his ankle during halftime shoot around and is doubtful for Tuesday’s Game 5 in Cleveland, pending an MRI today.

We have three opportunities to close out the series and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals again.

Thunder - Nuggets game was like an episode of Walking Dead early. The overtime game just over 36 hours before and did a number on energy and focus.

Sounds like a euphemism for farting.

A sure sign of “The Road Court Advantage”? Even the sound of that is wrong. LOL

And Dallas wins the first pick in the lottery, that doesn’t seem questionable at all…

Dallas suddenly looks like geniuses.
Irving, Thompson, Dinwiddie,Christi - Guards
Flagg, Davis, Washington - Forwards
Lively, Gafford, - Centers

If you want to talk questionable, I can’t wait to see the shenanigans the league bosses will use to get Giannis to the Lakers.
Suddenly a Doncic, fading James (I’d still take him at 41 though) and …not much else besides Reeves… still no center. Not so good for them.

Knicks go up 3-1 on the Celtics, who lost Jayson Tatum to a leg injury with three minutes left in the game.

Pacers and Knicks seem to be on a collision course.

Looks like an Achilles tear to me. Might be done for next year too.

The lottery doesn’t reduce unfairness, it just shifts it and rebrands it.

The Wolves went up 3-1 over GS last night. GS had more rounded scoring, but Randle and Edwards held them off to win by seven.

We might end up with a nightmare scenario for the NBA of a Pacers Wolves final.

That would be an exciting series.
