2024 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

You are correct. Do I need to resubmit the list with that correction?

That, or hope that some kid named Noah Chomsky, racked with incurable leukemia, manages a cameo in the next MCU movie.

Your call.

More like, “Cancer, with a bit of actress,” from the recent articles I’ve seen. Not that I wish her anything bad-- she’s survived a lot, and while I never watched any of the shows she was on, I’ve seen some other things she’s done, and she’s talented. Just saying. If anyone is going to go before Jan 1, probably her.

Are there points for picking that?

She’s been stage 4 for a while now. She’s basically beaten the odds. I’m still likely putting her on my list, but it won’t surprise me if she survives through next year as well.

I think you need to do research before posting Mike Ditka is already gone

All my cites, including Wiki, say he isn’t dead yet. Were you perhaps thinking of Steve Ditko?

Welcome @Wackbjt! Baker, our deathmistress, prefers a “clean” list with no descriptions and single spacing. That is why you see some posters include a descriptive list and a plain list.

I’m sure she will appreciate it if you post your list again in the clean format.

Please post a list with no spaces between. See most of the other posts or the example in the OP.

Folks, I want to truly welcome all new players. You will be assimilated!

But it seems like some new folks, and a few others, aren’t reading the directions in the OP close enough and that causes me extra work when I have to modify their lists, and change totals on players.

I’m doing my best to keep my calculations accurate, and as usual I ask for help if I’ve made a mistake.

But from here on out I’m making an executive decision that if someone posts with not enough players, or adds numbers and commentary and spaces in between selections, I will not count their list until they come back and do it correctly. I will send one PM to folks like this, and if they don’t read it I’m sorry.

If you all think I’m being too harsh let me know here, because I’m keeping a note from here on out of players like this, if any, and I can always add them in.

Hell no, you aren’t being too harsh. Rules are rules, and these are easy to follow. It’s easier to submit a list without commentary, and most everybody here knows how to count to 13.

Not at all. You’re having to enter over a hundred lists. The least we can do is properly format them.
