Miami comes back and makes it a 3-point game.
Two ballsy 4th down conversions, last for a TD, IU back up two scores
FERNANDO! Woohoo!
Indiana has first and 10 with 2 minutes to play, and Miami has all 3 timeouts. Gain 10 yards, and probably win a championship.
What a thrilling end!
HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOSIERS!
We did it!
I’m astonished. I was rooting for the Hoosiers, but their past history (prior to last season) wouldn’t let me believe it until it was over.
Congratulations, Hoosiers!
I just got caught up. Was that touchdown one of the coolest looking in a long time?
Indiana deserved it for sure.
I remember when I went to Michigan, the Indiana games that were at Michigan Stadium were low attendance and they were considered a joke team.
I’m glad they won.
National champions, baby! Now I gotta get the hats and T-shirts and DVDs…
Hat tip to Miami, every bit a match. Miami marching down the field, last minute, down six. Major upset in the cards. IU smartly calls a timeout, defense looking a bit gassed. Slightly underthrown pass and IU gets the play. Congratulations to both.
ND can suck it![]()
I want to point out for posterity that I called this on September 21, 2025.
Of course, we exceeded even my wildest expectations.
And he got off with probation:
What is probation? I mean in terms of what it actually is like to “be on probation”. I hear the term all the time, but I don’t really have any clue what it means. Like a court assigned therapist?
It can be a variety of conditions placed on the defendant for a set period of time. Generally, the threat of actual incarceration is hanging over their head until they meet all the conditions. It can be “supervised probation” or unsupervised. It can be as easy as “no further law violations,” or very rigorous. Sometimes classes of some kind are ordered (anger management, alcohol information school). Sometimes there is a requirement for treatment (alcohol or drugs the most common). There are probably financial penalties or fees.
Probation requirements can vary. In this case apparently it lasts for 18 months; he is banned from contacting the victim; required to continue mental health counseling, and standard probation terms like regular check-ins with a probation officer, compliance with all laws (no new offenses); possible restrictions on travel outside the state (unless approved) and he may have to pay a few thousand in court costs.
Not Jail
…Yet.
The staffer at the center of the Sherrone Moore situation was interviewed today. She at one point was pregnant by him.
Shiver, 32, said Moore controlled “my emotions, my career … and he knew that, and he used it against me”.
Shiver told ABC she was often asked by Michigan staffers to “calm [Moore] down”, sometimes during half-times of games, and that felt pressure to maintain the relationship.
“No one cared about my feelings. They wanted to use me to help him so that they could get through the season,” she said.
She revealed the relationship to university attorneys last December, she said.
“They knew the things that he was doing to me and no one did anything about it because they cared more about winning football games, not having another scandal, and trying to protect the head coach,” she said.
