2025 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

Of course I moved Kilmer to my alternates list this year. Of course. I probably swapped him out for Dave Coulier too.

Not a huge fan of Kilmer, but Top Secret! has always been a great comedy.

He’s terrific in it, too. Great comedy timing from him.

And Coulier has stated that he’s now cancer-free.

Yeah, I think it suffered a bit from “not being Airplane!” - the joke pacing and hit rate wasn’t as high, but there are still some absolutely brilliant moments in it and Kilmer is very good indeed.

I still prefer Real Genius though.

I like to imagine his last words were “This is funny” while looking at his bare feet.

I though Kilmer died a few years ago. I vaguely remember seeing his funeral.

That was his character in Maverick.

Hence the rolling eye emoji.

His speedball is considerably slower now.

It took me a second to remember the sequel to Top Gun. I was about to point out that Maverick was a Mel Gibson movie.

Here’s some trivia. He presided over my confirmation.

Singer Johnny Tillotson dead at 86.

Bye, Mr. Wilson!!!

Carl Warwick, MLB outfielder who played for five teams in six seasons but performed World Series heroics for the 1964 St. Louis Cardinals, dead at 88.

Do you know who his teammates on the Cardinals were? I want to check if that was a year when Mike Torrez played with them.
