This happened a couple of weeks ago but I just read the article. Adult film actress Teresa Ferrer (real name Grecia Indra Martinez Gutierrez) died at age 39. The cause of death was pneumonia.
American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband Thomas Deluca both 70, were shot dead.

No, he was not into jumping and struck in mid flight, which was what I first visualized. Wonder what the physics of that would be: planes get struck by lightning and keep flying, but does a human behave like a faraday cage when not touching the ground?
