Here’s a question for the Death Mistress, as well as the other players in the Death Pool:

IMO, Jane Pitt is not a celebrity. Her name is/was known only because of the fame of her son. Would she have been eligible to be on somebody’s list? If so, then wouldn’t the parent of any celebrity be eligible?

That can be a difficult call. James Allen “Al” Hendrix was only famous because of his son, but he was pretty well known, at least in the Seattle area. It is impractical to restrict “celebrity” to people everyone has heard of (I see a fair number of names here that are new to me). But someone like Brad Pitt’s mother has been so completely out of view up until she died that picking her would be about equivalent to picking someone who is famous for their medical condition.
