22ft Wasp Nest Found In Abandoned Home In Spain

In Soviet Union, human stings wasp.

The general scratches his swelling and thinks
His guns work well but his kevlar stinks
Castilla girl, hard and sweet
jabs epi-pen into his fast retreat…

A guy is stung on his penis. He says to the doctor, ‘Can you take away the pain, but leave the swelling?’

Oh, and BlucherHouyhnhnm!

Man, you had to say it…

Any more news? What’s the latest buzz?

Any mention of a big blue box?

Sorry, I don’t get the reference…

The house is on La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands. Geographically, that’s still Africa, just off the coast of Morocco. If they are indeed “African” wasps, I’m sure they still think of it as their turf.

Now if anyone needs me, I’ll be curled up in a fetal position in the corner, sucking my thumb and meeping softly.

I suspect it’s a reference to Doctor Who, appearing and disappearing through time.

What got the neighbours worrying, I wonder? Did they see clouds of wasps pouring out of the house at dawn or dusk or whenever it is they’re active?

It was like the bat flight at Carlsbad, except it was wasps.

I have a wasp issue at my house where they get in the screen door at the side of the house and start building a nest between the storm door and the screen. I consider abandoning my house over one wasp at a time.

Don’t worry. To get to you, they’d have to cross the Maginot Line first!

Shouldn’t be, it’s a pretty small, self-standing house. A rowhouse or flats would be much more complicated.

If I found out that someone else in the same building had a nest like that in their apartment, I’d be out on the street with my suitcases, calling a cab, in about 15 nanoseconds.

(Glad you’re safe, Nava. Yes, I know you’re probably hundreds of kilometres from The Nest, but a) Spain looks pretty small from here, b) they can fly, and c) AAAAAHHHH!!! RUN!!! )

And did you also wonder if he was still alive but paralyzed inside there?

Heh I meant “getting the tent over the house while being swarmed by millions of wasps would be a bit tricky”.

Obviously they will be wearing those fancy protection from bee suits like beekeepers wear, but still. I can think of jobs I’d rather do!
