Are there any 24-hour news channels widely available on cable? Something like CNN, but ‘All News, All The Time’ instead of some news, a few hour-long opinion shows, entertainment news, etc. Sometimes I just want news, and not all of that other stuff.
(Obviously, I don’t channel-surf much.)
I don’t think there are any left. CNN Headline News used to be like that, but now they’ve turned into the “tot mom arrested” channel. Some local markets have decent 24x7 news channels on cable, but nationally, there don’t seem to be any.
I was afraid of that. I was hoping I was just clueless.
We have Northwest News on cable up here, but it’s PNW-centric.
The Weather Channel doesn’t even do 24 hour 7 day a week weather forecasts anymore. There’s no money in boring straight facts news 24/7. I see the BBC World News has an Internet stream, that might be your best bet.
