27 actors, 1 movie (a really hard game)

BTW, for anyone tuning in late:Vanessa Redgrave, Linda Hunt and Jessica Tandy gave us “The Bostonians”, leading to Christopher Reeve Jobeth Williams, Bill Pullman and Kevin Costner gave us “Wyatt Earp” which leads to Gene Hackman Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon and Geoffrey Lewis give us “The Great Waldo Pepper” which led to Margot Kidder The film was Superman

Good one!

OK, lets start with:George Carlin, Blythe Danner, Barbra Streisand–“Prince of Tides”–Nick Nolte? Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts–“Ghostbusters”–Sigourney Weaver?

Yes on the first one, no on the second (wrong movie, wrong actor).

NP, I got it. No offense taken. She’s just not my type. Probably because of Beaches. Although I have to admit she looks pretty good here. I’m just to this post so far, so for my own amusement I’m going to guess Sting for Dune, maybe we’ll get to play him in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels later.

Mia Sara, Jennifer Gray and Jeffery Jones were all in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off… maybe you want some Matthew Broderick with that?

Ghostbusters II with Dan Ackroyd?

Actually, that could have also been “Ghostbusters”, which was supposedly wrong–Harris Yulin from GB2?

I’ll see your Gary Cole, Shelley Long and Christine Taylor in “The Brady Bunch Movie” and raise you…Michael McKean?

And throw in Denis Leary, Rosie O’Donnell, and Robert Loggia in “Wide Awake” with—Julia Stiles, maybe?

So far all the movies are correct except for The Brady Bunch Movie. It can’t be Michael McKean. All of the other 4th stars are wrong as well.

So, currently we have:Prince of Tides Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Ghostbusters 2 Wide Awake and The Brady Bunch and all the 4th stars are wrong (including Nick Nolte)–is that where we are?

Oops, somehow I missed Nick Nolte, who is correct. Sorry.

Otherwise that’s a good assessment.

OK, how about “A Very Brady Sequel” and Tim Matheson?I’m sensing a theme here…

Daryl Hannah, Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts–“The Pope of Greenwich Village”–M Emmet Walsh?

Matheson and Walsh. Yep.

Kathy Baker, Michael Keaton, Morgan Freeman–“Clean and Sober”–Tate Donovan???

Um, no, not Tate Donovan.

I’m afraid I’ve made another mistake. Emmet Walsh was not in Pope. Take another guess at Clean and Sober?

Emmet Walsh was in Pope of GV. Or do you mean he’s not the right one?Anyhoo, last 2: Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts, Edward Norton–“Everyone says I Love You”–Alan Alda? Phil Hartman, Stanley Tucci, Tony Shalhoub–“Quick Change”–gotta be Geena Davis.

Walsh is in the puzzle, but incorrectly placed.

Alda is wrong, but the movie is right.

And right on with Geena Davis.
