283 grams of anti-social in a jar

I discovered I bought Mezzetta Garlic stuffed olives. (I meant to get bleu cheese stuffed olives)

Anybody tried them? Did you have close enough friends to tell you "Dude, your breath has stunk for 4 days!

A year or two ago, I saw that the store had marked the Mezzetta Garlic Olives at something insane like $1.19 a bottle, and thinking that it must be a mistake, I put a couple of bottles in the basket and crossed my fingers that it was actually the correct price, knowing that it was a EXTREMELY good deal at that cost.

Sure enough, the olives rang up at about $5.00 per bottle, but I told the cashier that the price was marked at $1.19, so she dispatched a bag boy to check the price; The bagger verified what I had said, but the cashier still balked, but by then the manager was standing near, checking out what was going on, and he told her to sell me the olives for $1.19.

I went back the next day, after thinking that it would be a good time to buy a few more jars, but they had all be re-marked back up to the $5.00 price.

They are damn tasty, but it’s hard to justify the high price…

Yeah, but do you cut a wide swath in a crowd the next day? (Does it make you SMELL?)

Mmmm, garlic stuff olives. But why not just go whole hog and eat you some pickled garlic cloves (for the serious garlic lover).

They’re not going to smell any more than the blue-cheese stuffed ones.
My favorites are anchovie-stuffed ones, but I haven’t seen those in forever.

Cost Plus World Market…look for Serpis Anchoa…I swear they’re so good you’ll drink the brine.

My favorite! So good. To hell with everyone else.

Brush well, you’ll be fine.

So…how are they in a Martini?

Gin, olives, and garlic - how could that NOT be great?!
