3' of snow, to sweltering heat!

In a mere 30 hours we’ve gone from 3.5 ft of snow, freshly fallen to the sweltering heat of SE Asia! Still getting over the jet lag and aclimatizing to the heat. But right after that, it’s adventure time! Island hoppng off the west coast, for a few weeks, then to Melaka for a couple of days maybe, and finish up in Singapore, with good friends and her mom’s home cooking!

It never ceases to astound me that with just a plane ticket, you can go from one reality, to one so different the first seems almost to no longer exist anymore. Ain’t life grand?

(Yeah, I know, not so much if you still got the 3’ of snow!)

Have fun, elbows! sounds great!

Have fun!

Jealous!!

Well not of the snow, I have enough of that here in Edmonton. Yuck!

Did nearly the opposite one year. My 5 hour or so flight went:
Start: Fort Lauderdale, FL, at 85 F
End: Minneapolis, MN, at -25 F

A nice 110 degree temperature drop during the flight.

Ok, so today the heat defeated us, two meals, though we felt little like eating, and two glorious, if sweaty naps! Tomorrow will be better, I’m sure. Once at the ocean the heat won’t matter a whit!

Well, mcgato we could be in for exactly that, come the middle of January. Something we’ve been careful to avoid, on previous trips. However did you adjust? Im imagining staying in my warm bed for several days, arguing over who’s turn it is to get up and make tea!
