Man, tough crowd. I laughed quite often. (Hehe, I’ve added a second Tracy Jordan grape reference to my repertoire – mindgrapes and now my mother’s grape.)
I think this was the perfect example of why a traditional three-camera live-studio-audience videocamera sitcom format is inferior to the single-camera film format.
Even the acting was worse than they usually are.
Jenna’s alien cleavage was niiiiiice.
You mean you couldn’t tell that it was either fake boob or some kind of material on the sides?

What in the world makes you think that? It’s a running gag in the show for her character to wear low-cut outfits, and Jane Krakowski is certainly no stranger to showing off her (terrific) body.
In regards to the show itself, I’m going to go against the majority of the thread and say I thought it was a brilliant, hilarious episode. I watched both the East Coast and West Coast feeds back-to-back (online) and loved every minute of it.
That looks snarkier in print than I meant it to be. If the cleavage is fake, then it’s fake. I was just wondering why she would suddenly do that, considering she’s been showing it on the show for three years now.
It looked absolutely fake to me. I thought that it was part of the gag.
Faked cleavage is just as good as real cleavage to the viewer. So long as it wasn’t obviously a foam construction like Liz Vassey’s in The Tick.
Except it’s been established that TGS is a terrible, unfunny show. One of their recurring sketches is a farting machine. Why do you think the audience of 30 Rock doesn’t know this?

Fair enough. I was watching it on my laptop. Sounds like it’s time to invest in a larger screen. 
C’mon you can tell that what’s visible in the star-shaped opening is a prosthetic. With Jenna, what’s visible seems to be actual skin, which makes it real to me, regardless of what else might be underneath.
I also loved it. Sure, wouldn’t want it this way every week, but I thought it was bold and hilarious. Much props for even trying it, but huge props for pulling it off so well and especially for doing it TWICE for us west coasters to get a live one too. Classy.
