My wife and I both wondered if Jack is actually showing Liz a picture of a young Christopher Reeve when he shows her a picture of himself at 25.
“Wow…you have like a Superman chest. And your eyes were wayyyy bluer back then!”
Awkward pause.
I think Tracy is best when he is being really random:
“I was just thinking how strange it is that we eat birds.”
Or when he explained the entire plot of Teen Wolf on the Larry King Show for reasons we’ll never know.
And I like Jenna.
Somehow she’s really hot. Not Jane Krakowski, although I’m sure she’s cool too. Jenna’s character - for reasons I’m not sure of because I usually only like smart women - makes me crazy.
She’s also had some really funny moments, one of which educated me: I had never heard the expression “Silkwood Shower” until she slept with Frank.
Why not just a picture of himself at 25…
I was a little surprised that Liz seemed distressed at the idea of losing Tracy. Wasn’t he foisted on TGS against her will to begin with?
I guess he brings ratings.
What’s their definition of BFF do you think?
Butt-fucking friends? Maybe not. I don’t think that’s suitable enough to put that expression on Liz Lemon’s face.
I wouldn’t say that. It just put that expression on my face.
(Just those two in particular. In the right situation, I’d have a very different expression.)
I enjoyed this ep very much, especially the Tracy/Jack plot. Jack and DotCom’s dialogue was hilarious:
JACK: Did he really never think that through?
DOTCOM: Tracy’s is a tactile, kinesthetic learning style.
JACK (as if on his last nerve): Dot Com… I swear to God…!
Unlike some I guess, I love the entire cast. I never thought I’d love Tracy Morgan as much as I do – when I first started watching, I figured he’d be the weak link. But his depiction of Tracy’s impassioned, completely sincere, manchild superfreakyness cracks me up. Like “I was just thinking how weird it is that we eat birds.”
And Jon Hamm is ohhhhhh so yummy. I completely understand his placement in the bubble.
