$315 lottery winner arrested

CNN Story

What’s that about a silk purse and a sow’s ear?

That’s suppose to read $315 million lottery winner. :smack:

I read the title and was thinking to myself, that doesn’t seem much.

Jack Whittaker might have been better off he had won $315.

Well at least he can afford a good lawyer.
But this part of the story makes me feel bad for the guy.

Well, it’s because the guy is a moron. He’s been robbed of more than $100,000 more than once. Anyone carrying that kind of cash on his person, especially after the first robbery, is a fool. And did you catch the part about some 18 year old dying at his house while he was out of town. Even though he wasn’t charged with anything it sounds very suspicious to me. IIRC this guy was a fairly successful businessman before he won the lottery and had talked about donating large amounts to Christian charities. Sounds like the kind of guy that gives Christians a bad name.

Further proof that God has a sense of humor.

If he can’t handle all that loot, I can think of at least one person who would be willing to take it off his hands.

Sheesh…didn’t that police department get the memo about our nation’s filthy rich being well above the law?

Now, that’s just hilarious! :stuck_out_tongue:
I think I remember reading somewhere about the briefcase incident.

Just don’t learn, do he?

Yeah, he was already a millionaire.

IIRC he did give some money to a couple of churches. There’s a few pastors that, ever since, have pretty much followed him around like puppies hoping he’ll throw them a bone since, when he won, his plan was to build Christian schools, etc. As far as his Christianity goes, he may be one, but he’s definitely not walking the walk.

He’s a common, backwoods uncouth jerk. He’s been hitting the titty bars and slapping waitresses’ asses for years. It’s just that now every time he gets plastered and into trouble the media’s interested because of his lotto win.

I keep telling God that I could be trusted with money like that, but so far He just won’t listen

See, God should have sent the money my way, since I’m a heathen. Then when the wages of sin befell me I could be pointed out as a bad example. I’m willing to take the fall for the team.
