Hoarding is a mental illness and is very sad for the sufferer as well as those they impact. The saddest stories are always about animal hoarders, those poor people can’t take care of themselves but still feel compelled to take in more animals than they can care for.
The state of mental health care in this country is appalling, people fall through the cracks all the time and nothing is done until it’s too late.
