5 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen

Just in time for Halloween, the esteemed researchers at Cracked found 5 Scientific Reasons the Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m stocking up on food and ammo just in case. I’m also going to be reviewing all my zombie movies as training aids and of course I’ll be rereading Mr. Brooks’ The Zombie Survival Guide yet again.

Remember boys and girls, “When there is no more room in Hell the dead shall walk the Earth.”

Meh. At least four of those five ways involve turning essentially living humans into mindless killing machines. They’re still vulnerable to a good old 9mm round or five to the heart. The scary thing about true zombies is their near-invulnerability: they don’t need food, water, oxygen or rest, and can take damage that would completely incapacitate even the most berserk human. Even the last one (nanomachines) only offers a threat if it can somehow bestow an inhuman capacity to function without the normal human bodily processes.
