70's Lyrics Quiz

Over a year ago, I posted a 70’s lyrics quiz. I thought I’d do another one! This one is a little different. You will get 1 point for the missing word, and 1 point for the band name/artist. There are 50 questions, so a total of 100 points are available.

Some are hard, some are easy. Some use the rhyme, some don’t. I realized while making the list that some of these songs may be covers. All acceptable artists will be accepted.
Spoiler your answer list like this:

1. missing word - band name
2. missing word - band name
3. missing word - band name
4. missing word - band name

NO GOOGLING!!! We have to go on the honor system for this. Please don’t cheat.

Quiz to follow.

It amuses me how for some of these songs I’m super familiar with, you picked the exact words out of the lyrics that I just kind of make vowel sounds with when they come on the radio.

And, while it’s already been said that these aren’t all 70s songs, let me say that anyone who disparages the 70s from a musical standpoint has got to have a few screws loose, as evidenced by the diverse and (mostly) awesome collection of songs in this quiz.

#2 is not a 70s song. And there are many other possible answers to the band than the one you’re thinking about.

Blind Willie McTell, Taj Mahal, Alice Stuart, for starters
