8 infants die in bombing of hospital in ISIS area

You know the State Dept is unlikely to say boo. And you know why.

If you’re going to shout “hypocrisy!” every time it happens in world geo-politics, you’re going to be going off every 15 seconds like a faulty car alarm.

Also, you’ve admitted yourself in the past that Israel and US dismisses these protests as nothing more than anti-semitic/anti-Israeli outcries. So why do you work so hard to bring attention to them?

Something you, and many others, fail to understand is that, because Israel is generally considered part of the liberal democracy club, it’s naturally held to a higher standard, and their actions are of more interest. You can compare them to Iraq if you want, but is that a standard you’re happy with?

You know what’s nice and endearing ?
How to you, Terr, those dead children from a no-future hopeless land, and in a wider context the pangs of regrets and humanity and guilt that might conceivably gnaw at people’s guts over kids trapped in the frightful but banal horror that is humanity in action, are simply the perfect excuse to play gotcha! games on the Interwebs.

That’s mighty white of you, I find. <Jon Stewart’s Jersey Accent>Real classy.</JS’sJA>

Or, in other words: “One band of primitive savages attacking another. Who cares?”.

Look on the bright side - at least no one is blaming Israel for this one.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some were.

Moved to MPSIMS.

It was the Iraqi Airforce. If it had been US planes that had done the bombing, I’d have expected plenty of up in arms.

Sure. Iraqi airforce, supplied, built and trained by the United States. And yes, if it was the US, there would be protests. But here, it’s not just no protests, it is no reporting of it at all. And then people get all riled up about the racism of DingoelGringo earlier in this thread.

If the non-reporting of this event is not driven by the “One band of primitive savages attacking another. Who cares?” attitude of the reporters, what do you think is the explanation for it?

As I mentioned in the other thread, I predict that as we bomb the ISIS fronts they’ll retreat into and hide out among the populace so that our airstrikes will kill more civilians.

I don’t know about you, but my expectations of Iraqi forces are pretty low. They’ve done little to nothing to distinguish themselves militarily in confronting ISIS to date.

What should be in the news is that they’re responding in any way at all. Who even knew they were conducting any kind of military missions?

So while news of dead babies in bombed out hospitals is tragic, I don’t know if the media should be getting too far up their ass right now about this particular screw-up. Let’s hope they continue to fly more missions and improve their aim.

But if it helps your outrage, you may attribute this lack of media coverage to the soft bigotry of low expectations.

As in “One band of primitive savages attacking another. Who cares?”.

As in, “a nascent military force attacks a band of primitive savages and makes a mistake that causes unintended and unfortunate loss of life.” The “who cares?” is you editorializing.
