80 years on the job.

Ever since Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 50 years as Monarch, I have wondered *who * has held a job in the real world the longest.

This morning, admist the MidEast Crisis and the Elizabeth Smart Kidnap case, et al, comes this little gem of **Annie Milner **
who has worked at Marshall Fields since 1919. She just turned 100. She works 6 hours a day, five days a week.

(I can’t find a link, presently, on the CNN/HLN site.)

On the day of her 100th birthday she was given a limo ride to work, given (presumably) 100 roses and a hallway lined with coworkers applauding her.

But this woman is a gem.

Thus concludes the warm and fuzzy breakfast moment.

Way to go Annie Milner!

There are times when one day at my job feels like eighty years.
