There’s video of her on horseback at the Trooping the Colour ceremony. Some idiot shoots a blank pistol multiple times and spooks her horse.
The Queen does a masterful job of staying in the saddle and getting it back under control. A less experienced horseman would have been thrown off and injured.
Finally found that video. People that ride know how easily any horseman could be thrown. Elizabeth was obviously a very experienced rider.
Long may she reign.

When Louis XIV died, he had managed to outlive his oldest son and his son’s oldest son, which means that Louis XV was his great-grandson. He, in turn, outlived his son is well. His grandson, though, had a pretty bad fate.
