On Thursday, 12 May 2011, Elizabeth II’s reign will surpass that of George III, as the second longest reign in British history. If she survives, on 10 September 2015, she’ll surpass Queen Victoria as the longest-reigning British monarch.

I remember watching her Coronation on TV when I was 6.

Her Majesty had been on the throne for (math history) ~18 years when I was born. I hope that she offs before too much longer, just so I can add Coronation to the List of Things I Got to See in My Lifetime.
