80s bands who are still going?

Did any of you actually see Styx at the super bowl. I heard that they were supposed to play pregame, but i never saw them. However, i have heard some of their new singles, they are really good. They sound a lot like their older stuff; but not just recycled sound… I was pleasntly surprised. here is a link to their songs and stuff… styx ecard …it is a pretty cool link…

if anyone saw the super bowl pregame, is that online anywhere?

I’ve been looking for Styx superbowl stuff too. I guess the network goofed and cut to commercial? Anyway, I picked up Cyclorama last week when it came out and it’s pretty good. Less of their experimental stuff and more of their old school rock.

but what’s up with that carrot on the cover?

Why, carrot Styx, what else?

Halbermensch - wow finally somebody in this country who has heard of Einstuerzende Neubauten…let’s hear it for the Grand(God)fathers of Industrial !!!

Don’t forget ZZ Top, even though they’ve been around since the early 70’s. They’re the only band I can think of that’s never had a lineup change.

I wouldn’t really consider the Bon Scott era as “80’s” since he died in January of 1980. The current lineup of AC/DC is the same one that recorded “Back In Black”, which is good enough for me.

Social Distortion.

Actually…you’ll find a lot of Neubauten fans on this board…it’s gratifying…

Mission of Burma is currently on tour, in spite of Roger Miller’s tinnitus.

I may have missed it, but has anyone mentioned The Pretenders? The new issue of Rolling Stone writes that they’re still performing.

My dear, you underestimate the Teeming Millions.
