80's music is the worst music ever and Led zeppelin is the best band ever.

Don’t forget Adam and the Ants.

But, gobear, pulykamell and Twist
He SAID it BLOWS, and you can’t argue with that!

plus, I guess Led Zeppelin didn’t do anything in the 80’s, since that would mean they blow as well, being that they did 80’s music at some point…

All together now

Never believe anyone who takes their name from a fake band from an Eddie Murphey movie that came out in the…
wait for it…
eighties.

…Echo and the Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, OMD, the Cure, Pink Floyd…

Geez, did everyone forget that little band from Dublin? What were they called… U2, that was it.

And everyone forgets because he’s a total freakazoid now, but Michael Jackson made some absolutely fantastic albums in the 80s. Plus you had Tom Petty hitting his peak. AC/DC but out “Back in Black” in 1980. The Cult was pretty good. Peter Gabriel made his best music in the 1980s. The Police did their best work with “Synchronicity,” that was in 1983. Eurythmics. Van Halen was much better than the average hair band. Bruce Springsteen was huge, huge huge in the 80s, and “Born in the USA” is a wonderful album. Black Sabbath was big in the 80s, and Ozzie solo, plus you had Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, Iggy Pop, Queensryche, Living Color, Cheap Trick… I dunno, I think there was a hell of a lot of good music in the 80s.

Actualy John Henry Bonham, drummer of Led Zeppelin, died September 25th, 1980… Coda, released November 19, 1982, would certainly qualify as “80s music”, and since Poor Tom and I Can’t Quit You Baby are from that album, and as such arguably 80s music, they too must blow… Since we can’t argue with the OP…

Nirvana could well be classified as 80’s as well. I used to like them.

Oh, now the hamsters make posts redundant as well. Scheming little…

So many great artists active in the 80’s. There was certainly no shortage of bad music, but on the whole, no, they didn’t suck or blow.

The Beatles are the greatest band of all time.

The greatest band of all time consisted of Jo Jones on drums, Walter Page on bass, Freddie Green on guitar, Teddy Wilson on piano, Buck Clayton on trumpet, Buster Bailey on clarinet, Lester Young on tenor saxophone, and Billie Holliday on vocal

When I read the OP, I just knew my husband had joined the boards. Hi honey!

An OP of contradictions, how fascinating!

Zeppelin was indeed the greatest rock band of all time, IMO, but the 80’s was hardly the worst. In general, the garbage they’re playing today is much worse than the 80’s…

OMG, Devo was right!!! runs from thread

You mean we really do have to whip it?

So everything they told me in Sunday school was a lie! sob

Then how do you exlain the fact that 90’s music sucked even worse?

Is it possible that the OP actually misspelled his/her own user name when registering or do my eyes deceive me?

Whoosh city. He meant that we are de-evolving.

While their first CD (Bleach) was released in 1989, most people contribute the death of 80’s music to them.

And I agree that Led Zeppelin has not yet been surpassed as best Hard Rock band ever.

I know; what I meant by that was to show what a broad statement the OP made.

The OP must be a troll! Just look at his history.

More good 80s music:

Replacements, Waterboys, World Party

RickJay mentions Springsteen’s Born in the USA, he also released The River and Nebraska in the 80s, two more great albums.
