80's work song not money or working for a living

Hey All,

I’m officially old, the music I listened to in High School is now on the ‘Classic Rock’ station.

So I was listening to the station and The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes” came on, Man! I love that song.

Then I kinda remembered another song about work, that was not Pink Floyd’s “Money” or Hewy Lewis and the News “Working For A Living,” but I can’t remember the artist.

I thought it was Blue Oyster Cult, but now that CDNow is Amazon, I can’t listen to snippits of all their songs. The only lyrics I kinda remember is something about running down the stairs cause their late or they’re already late…missing the train…

Help!

“Manic Monday” by The Bangles?

…Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an airplane
I still couldn’t make it on time…

Yes, I did that from memory. Bad brain, bad!

Damn you, fiddlesticks!

I searched on “work by nine” and found it! Thanks for the lyric assist!

It was Bachman Turner Overdrive, Takin’ Care Of Business!

Not BOC, BTO! Damn you TLA’s!

Thanks for the help everyone!

“And if your trains on time you can get to work by nine,
Start your stinking job and get your pay!”
