He may have looked like their kindly old great grandfather. Little did they know Bob Wood is an instrumentalist from the 60’s and 70’s. Recorded several albums.
The store staff were in for a treat. 
I guess maybe one in what maybe 20 customers really know how to play the guitars they demo in the stores? Even less play at this level.

Cool. Well, it was in Nashville. A friend of mine moved there some years after college for the songwriting scene. I remembering him saying in our hometown of over 40,000 people there were a maybe a handful who could really play guitar at a top professional level.
In Nashville, he said, there were more talented people just living on his street. They carry guitars around like Southern Californians carry surfboards.
I wonder why the manager happened to be filming some random old guy playing? Unless of course he already knew it was Bob Wood, in which case it was no surprise.

Maybe he noticed Bob Woods playing, and asked him if he’d like to do it again on film?
That was great. As a player, I find it very inspiring to see people his age still able to play at a high level.
