It does make sense- the obsessive defense of the Bush administration. Difficulty with cites. Difficulty with lying. Willingness to twist and distort the words of others for his own purposes. Convienent amnesia regarding his own statements. Willingness to pretend he said something he didn’t.
Why didn’t we think of this sooner?
I wonder who else from the Bush administation is posting here? I have a few suspects in mind. . . .

Well, yeah, it makes an excellent ten-second sound bite. What Bush critics need is an equally excellent ten-secound sound bite to counter it, maybe with their own line of dungarees and happy meal promotions to really drive the point home.

I was expecting him to pump this anniversary for all it was worth. I have to assume either some unknown cause, or a total surge in dignity and decorum amongst the Pubbies dissuaded them from exploiting a national tragedy for political ends. Naturally, I gravitate towards “unknown cause”.
For instance, I was very surprised he did not arrange for a good ol’ fashioned rip-snorting patriotic rally and sombre reflection. And photo op. Bring in several ranks of brave soldiers, police, firemen… Firemen. How is ol’ George doing amongst the firemen of NYawk? Much beloved is he?
By now most all of you know the story that alleges that the EPA was pressured by the WH to declare the air quality just after 9/11 acceptable, when it was known otherwise. Out here on the Third Coast, the outrage was muted, but I wonder how it played there in NYawk?
What I’m getting at: did GeeDubya pass on exploiting Ground Zero because he was uncertain as to his reception in NYawk?
