If this post on another forum is to be believed, 9/11 truthers have bought ad time on MSNBC.

They’ll likely be pulling in some gullible people.

Yeah, everyone is gullible.
In other news, George Bush thought 9/11 plane had been shot down on his orders.
I don’t understand your response. You don’t think there are gullible people who’ll fall for the truther nonsense?
I don’t think there are gullible people who will fall for the George Bush nonsense.
Certainly George Bush is guilty of plenty of nonsense, but that wasn’t the subject of this thread.
The Bush story is a non-issue. He gave the order, then heard the plane had crashed. It’s not a great leap of logic to think the two were connected. Turns out he was wrong, but anyone would have thought the same at first.
Here is the MSNBC ad.
It’s not a great leap of logic to think the two were not connected. Turns out most people were wrong. Now thanks to BuildingWhat, New York Supreme Court Justice Edward H. Lehner, United States President George W. Bush, and all American citizens will not be gullible.
Good for them. I used to be a truther, but am pretty indifferent to the issue now (Cheney’s autobiography Angler which showed how caught off guard he was on 9/11 made me rethink the whole ‘in on it’ angle. He seemed as surprised as everyone else). But my decision change isn’t because I think the idea that the gov. would lie or do evil things is automatically untrue or worthy of scorn. I think Iran-contra happened and I think the attempted sinking of the USS liberty was intentional, among other things in US history.
But if people want to spread their ideas through the media, have at it.
Watching the ad, it is just a bunch of family members of people who died on 9/11 asking questions about building 7. Why should people be ashamed of that?
If it weren’t for family members of survivors asking questions, the 9/11 commission never would’ve even happened.
Not really sure what you are saying here, but being hit by an airplane and being hit by tons of debris from a collapsing building that was hit by an airplane work out pretty much to the same thing.
If you have a point, you should spell it out in small words and simple declarative sentences, because right now you’re just rambling.
Buh? Of course it is. I was standing a few blocks in front of Building 7 when it fell, it was not really a surprise to anyone.
Kozmik, are you arguing that the Truther perspective is valid?
Just the ones who still believe the total collapse of 7 took less than 15 seconds and that traces of thermite were found in the dust even though one critical component of thermite was never mentioned.
No.
No perspective is valid. The official story, I argue, is valid. Four planes were hijacked and the South Tower collapsed and the North Tower collapsed and The Pentagon was damaged and an impact was made in a field in Pennsylvania. That is the official story as reported by CNN and The New York Times and the 9/11 Commission Report. So when the lady who lost a family member on 9/11 says in the MSNBC ad, “Most people don’t know that a third tower fell on September 11.”, what does that mean, assuming her statement is correct? Is World Trade Center 7 part of the official story? Yes. So, there is no problem with the official story; however, there is a problem with the perspective of George W. Bush. The President gave the order and then heard the plane had crashed! Gave the order to who? The military, ok, fair enough the President is the Commander in Chief. But how did you hear that the plane had crashed? Did the President hear about the plane crash on CNN or did The White House Chief of Stafftell him?
“There is more to the story”. That is what another lady in the MSNBC ad says. And that is all that I am saying. There is more to the story. There is more to the story when family members of people who died on 9/11 are asking questions about World Trade Center 7. There is more to the story when former President Bush makes the revelation in his memoir Decision Points that he thought that the plane was shot down on his orders. There is more to the story because people don’t know about “Building 7”. There is more to the story because people don’t know about the “shoot down order”. They do now. We know now what happened on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
Or did the director of NORAD tell him?
Was the missing critical ingredient of thermite a mother’s unconditional love? please tell me it was. If so, how do chemists test for that.
