They only bleat about the constitution because the piggies told them to bleat about the constitution. I reckon that a casual survey with fact-type question would reveal their vast ignorance not only about the specifics of the constitution, but even the general gist of what the thing is.
They assume whatever they believe is in the constitution somewhere, just like they assume it’s in the bible. These are people who think gay marriage is socialism. They haven’t any knowledge or even any curiosity about what any of their shouting points even mean.

Do you have a cite for this claptrap, or is it just the demonization of those you disagree with? Your liberal Oracle, the New york times, says the opposite. In fact, Tea Party people tend to be smarter, wealthier, and better educated than the average American (certainly more than the average union worker/brainwashed plantation minority/illegal immigrant that makes up much of the left’s coalition). The article makes the point that, to a large extent, the Tea Party movement reflects America.
As opposed to the spoiled children of privilege, union thugs, and other communist/whackjobs who are getting their 15 minutes at the expense of our olfactory senses.

As for your limping attempt at a point, Tea Partiers are more likely to have higher education and wealth, because older white men are more likely to have higher education and wealth.

Better educated != smarter. I can’t find the part in the story where they say what they mean by “better educated,” but I imagine it means a lot of them got Bachelors degrees in something that has nothing to do with history or political science a long time ago. It certainly doesn’t translate into better informed. Rather than poll their opinions and demographics, I’d like to see them post actual quiz results about basic information related to their opinions – like the growth of debt under Obama vs. the last adminsitration, when the bailouts occurred, the content of the healthcare bill, the text of the constitution, the way the US spends its money, and the meaning of their favorite swear word: “Socialism!”

From the Tea Party members I’ve seen on TV, they, too, appear to be better educated. So, it’s not “whiteness” that seems to be responsible.

Actually, no. I’m going by the way they speak, as well as what they say. I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily more intelligent, but they clearly appear to be better educated.
