A big hand for Stoid, she ate a book.

I’m pretty sure she has, in fact, done the giant color cappy text thing before.

I believe thw word you’re looking for is “unconditional”, although I suppose your relationship to your dog may be … different … than most.

Indeed. She was rather famous for it during her lawsuit.

She’s doing the ugly red text thing as we speak.

I just came back over here to post that, but it took a while because I was laughing so hard. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not sure that’s a fair assumption. Nobody is really taking **Stoid **to task because she has chosen to do low carb. People are taking her to task because she is *insisting *that low carb is the only way to lose weight, and that anyone who disagrees with her (and hasn’t read The Book) is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

I don’t see you doing that in that thread. Also, as was pointed out there, your diet uses a low carb approach in order to ultimately limit overall calories, under the theory that fat and protein are more satisfying than carbs. This seems to me a reasonable approach. Stoid is trying to say that as long as you avoid carbs like the plague, you can eat everything else you see and still shrink - the total number of calories is completely immaterial. She’s also trying to say that the reason people end up fat in the first place has nothing to do with overeating, they’re just programmed to be fat. That’s not reasonable, that’s crazy.

I’ve said that the more intense and emotionally-invested she gets, her posts get very Jack Chick-esque because of that formatting. Any day now, I’m gonna see HAW HAW HAW!

Yeah I enjoy them too. The best part of that thread was when she said,“I’ve been tracking my eating for a little less than a month.” in post 12. She hadn’t lost the weight she wanted so after a whole >30 days she concludes that dieting does not work.

Your dog didn’t come with that option?

EDIT: Also if she stopped eating books she might lose more weight.

False. Paper is straight fiber and as such is very filling.

Yeah, I just noticed that. Oh boy…

I’m kind of sad you corrected it, because I like the idea of “losing the wait,” i.e., becoming instantly thin.

Hey, it’s roughage!

Is it against the rules here to invite Stoid to this thread?

Gods help me, I might be starting to like Shodan.

No shit, ay?

So should I bother to read the thread now? I got halfway through the OP and thought, “Fuck this; I get the gist. Stoid’s problems are not her fault. Got it, seen this movie before.” I tried to read through some of the responses, but it was way too long and boring. If there are some comedy gems, I’ll go back and read through the train-wreck. I might stop, though, if it gets into Stoid Classic formatting techniques.

Here’s one:

Stoid now claims that “fat people overeat because they are fat. They are not fat because they overeat”

But sadly, she starts up with the psycho formatting shortly after posting that. Sorry.

He’s great so long as you encounter him outside political threads.

Don’t think so, but I can’t remember a time when it’s helped.

Leading a whore to culture, not making her think.

Not only is it allowed, it’s encouraged. The original purpose of the Pit was to provide a venue for fights so that they wouldn’t derail other threads. A link to a pitting in the thread that inspired the pitting is a good way to bleed the aggression off into the appropriate forum, while allowing the original thread to continue in a (more-or-less) congenial fashion.

For some reason this reminds me of the time years ago when I was on vacation in an exotic clime (Rapid City, South Dakota*) and decided on playing a round of golf at a local course. I called up the place to ask what the wait was before I could tee off (courses are often crowded during the summer) - but when I asked the woman answering the phone “What’s your wait?” she screamed “I beg your pardon!!!” and hung up on me.

After a stunned moment I realized the problem.

I wouldn’t mind if you weren’t so fat
Nothing else could be worse than that

I was already smiling as I read through this thread but when I saw this I actually exclaimed “Ooooooooh shit!”
