My friend Anita Page turns 94 on Aug. 4, and I am just popping a card in the mail to her. Check her out here, here and here—she was an MGM star[-let] in late silents and early talkies. Worked with Gilbert, Chaney, Haines, Novarro, Gable, Keaton, and stole Our Dancing Daughters from under Joan Crawford’s nose. She was a terrific actress when they gave her anything to do besides stand still and look pretty; unfortunately, that’s all they usually wanted from her.
Anyway, I thought it anyone wanted to post birthday or “hello” greetings to her, I would print them out (large-type!) and mail them to her.
