Just got done watching this old film noir on TCM, and 2 things really took me out of the story: the whole “Buzz lighting the match” sequence. That was probably one of the dumbest scenes I’ve ever seen. The idea of the cops sanctioning the casual indoor use of firearms to prove…what exactly? The second thing was a Will Wright line. He was the old hotel detective. When he said he was 57 I about cracked up. No way! Then I checked IMDB, and he was ONLY 52:eek: (unless my math was off). Did he have one of those congenital aging diseases?
