A brighter Earth.

Here’s an NPR site w/ a night view of the Earth provided by NASA. There are several choices for download… I’m on dialup, so I used one of the smaller ones, but even that is impressive. I’ll bet the bigger ones are much better. I found the dark areas to be as interesting as the distribution of lights. The article on light is interesting also.
Worth a look, IMHO.

Damn, that was supposed to be a new topic, sorry. :o

I was going to say - NASA? How big is your asshole?!

Or you might have meant to say “here’s a view of dark areas of the Moon”…

Yeah, I know. I thought maybe a Mod. would take pity on me and fix my screwup. The photos are pretty interesting. Got to pay more attention to what I’m doing.

I’ve reported your post for you, so hopefully it can be moved. Will check out the pics now.

Your accidental post is now a new thread, A.R. Cane.

Thanks for reporting it, jjimm.

Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, where was it misplaced? And that picture was my desktop for quite a while; very intriguing to look at and ponder.

The ginormous GIF would be interesting but my work computer doesn’t have nearly enough RAM to process it. I could do it on my home computer – just (I was able to view a similarly-sized pic of the Orion Nebula) but it doesn’t look nearly as pretty as the JPEG.

Cool image though.

I accidently posted it to the thread on colonoscopies. :smack:

Interesting demarcation of light between North and South Korea
