Some of the best looking NASA themed wallpaper I’ve ever seen can be found here. “To slip the surly bonds of Earth” indeed.
My wallpaper is currently the moonrise over the earth photographed from the last mission of Columbia. It’s both haunting and beautiful, really. I tried to find it online to post a link, but couldn’t find it.

I get my pics at Astronomy Picture of the Day.
I also use APOD, and the (Nowegian, was it?) site is cool.
I’ve been collecting most of my wallpaper images directly from the horse’s gallery for some time now - NASA Human Space Flight Gallery search
And Czech - would that be THIS PIC? (from the above NASA gallery site)
I use hubble pictures.
It’s still hard to believe that such beauty is just floating out there in space.
That photo, alone, IMHO, justifies every dime NASA gets. Forget that it was taken from Columbia, for the moment, and just look at it. Totally stunning.
I’ve got one called ‘earthlights_dmsp_big.jpg’ that’s a composite of night shots from the shuttle, showing city lights all over the world. I was sure it was from NASA, but Google only finds copies elsewhere. They’re all quite a bit smaller than the original (2400x1200).
That would be the one.

That was my wallpaper for a while. Now I have The Fabric of Space.
What is the deal, anyway, with space themes and PC wallpaper? We’re all in cyberspace, is that it?
