Oh SDMB
Fighting ignorance where e’r
It may rear it’s head
Oh SDMB
New topics always arise
Keeping me from bed
Oh SDMB
Teaching me how to fight the
Ignorance of fools
Oh SDMB
You welcome all ideas
Just follow the rules
Oh SDMB
Where liars and fools are shamed
Yet come back for more
Oh SDMB
Why must I keep returning
To threads about race
Oh SDMB
Whenever someone is wrong
Must I point it out?
Congratulations,
One thousand posts is a lot.
Ignorance sleeps not.
Thank you, swampspruce , for being the only one (so far) to attend my party.

Eh, one thousand posts…
I’m well over ten-thousand
Where’s my post-count thread?

Look at your stats, dude
1.31 posts per day?
Need to step up game!
I can’t toot your horn
That is something every
man must do himself
Everyone must have
A great goal to work towards
Maybe 1.4

Throw my own party?
Takes a lot of ego, but
I guess you know that…
Well I was waiting
For someone else to notice
But nobody did
It’s against the rules
to throw a post-count party
I’ll allow haiku

Post-count parties out?
Okay, then, now let’s have a
post-post-count party
No post-count parties?
Check that. This is no party.
It’s just a few friends.
How about some free verse?
Well, this isn’t exactly free.
I paid about $7.49 for it.
My Pleasure. Although,
I see some more have arrived.
Yay! Super Soiree!

By the firelight
Okay, not quite.

I was trying to do a proper haiku with morae, instead of syllables, as it’s actually done in Japanese. It’s rather limiting in English. I went by the assumption that all unaccented syllables contain one mora, while accented ones contain two.
