The fact that the douchebags on Jersey Shore enjoy a standard a living that far outstrips mine=Too priceless to be anything but reality; you can’t make this shit up.

Splenectomy is considered a last-ditch treatment because it pretty much wrecks your immune system when it’s gone… It turns out my problem is most likely in my bone marrow, so a splenectomy wouldn’t have done much good. You have to have a spleen for AntiD to work, anyway.

Howdy Y’all! Doin’ a lunch break post just cause I can. Irk has so far not been real irksome. Let’s hope that holds out. Eatin’ leftover pasta sallit for N.O.L. I want to be hungry since I’m bein’ taken out for good Eyetalian tonight. Ima have me one of them fancy frozen Eyetalian champagne drinks too. It’s called a bellini and it be good!

Ok, need to get back to irk in a bit.

Later Y’all!

Reinforcing my theory that we only have internet when it’s nice - it’s been overcast and sprinkling and we’ve had intermittent internet. Which is about the only reason I came to work today - I can’t work on updating my portfolio if I can’t get to my website.

Spaz - {{{{{{{hugz}}}}}}} as a member of the every growing auto-immune disease family, I empathize - and congratulate you on beating the thing. Mine cannot be beat, only held at bay - and often not terribly successfully.

ShinyCat - part of it may be that you don’t know those folks as well as you know the mumpers, or that you have nothing in you own life to relate to the poster. Or simply that everyone else has already said what you intended. In those situations, I mentally send the OP positive/healing/compassionate vibes, and am glad that I’m doing my part.
Have I mentioned lately how much I hate Mondays?

I’m not allowed to donate blood, so you’ll have to settle for my good wishes.
Stay healthy.

Now to address the OP, since I’m more awake.

I haven’t been able to donate blood for a long while now. I wish I could. I wish they could filter out the bad stuff from people, so that we all could give blood.

I’m glad you’re doing fine, Spaz.

Remission is just a harder shove back in the bay. I’ll only be cured if I die of something else.

It is entirely too hot out today. Again. The tomatoes love it. Mr. Stripey has a nice large tomato growing on him, the German Pink is flowering like crazy and the Romas are getting taller. If I can figure out how to transfer pictures from my phone, I can show off pictures of all of them, plus the amazing marigolds on the back steps. Let us not speak of the one lone marigold down among the Romas that looks absolutely pitiful.

(squee)

Spaz - scary story. Hope you stay in remission a good long time. I wish I could donate plasma, but as I’ve said in other threads, I have one decent vein and it’s barely good enough for taking blood samples. And even then, it takes a good phlebotomist with a teensy sharp.

Home - 38 work days to go. Yep, now I’m counting. I started transferring my assorted data files to the shared drive in the appropriate places in case some day someone cares what I wrote or did. One drive down, 2 to go.

I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer and the sprinkler on in the yard. My roma tomato plants are outrageously tall! This is the first time I’ve grown them - how big do they get, Spaz? Will I need a ladder to harvest??

Speaking of harvest, I picked 3 more cherry tomatoes today. And I’ve got a bunch of big ones that are still green, but getting bigger. I need to feed my plants again - end of the week, I think.

Today was pretty nice up till I got home, then I had to close the house and turn on the air. Upper 90s threatened later this week, so it may be a while before I can open windows again. :frowning: I guess it’s summer.

Happy Monday!

I just realized I had sveltification surgery 6 years ago today.

Hasn’t worked too well has it, Moooooom?

Six years? Really?? Then again, we’re in this house 7 years come the end of July. Dang…

**FCD **has just gotten home. We’re having scrambled eggs and ham for supper. Easy-peasy!

First load in the dryer, second in the washer. Good times!

YAY! was able to get an ID, I can fly now!

Spaz, I’m not sure I can donate. they can barely get blood out of me when they have to, and sometimes not even then. I used to sell plasma when my veins were better, and I hope you die of something else… a long long long time from now :stuck_out_tongue:

Back from an early dindin at the good Eyetalian place. We had chikin parmesan and chikin milano. I had two bellinis. What? I didn’t drive. Plus there’s leftovers for tomorrow’s N.O.L.. Yay!

Yay for id janis!

Tacos have been requested for tomorrow’s dindin so ground beast is thawin’ out.

I live an excitatin’ life do I not?

Swampy, Yis. Yis, you do, plus also, I think two belinis would make me rather crocked.

We had breakfast for supper - I cooked up some N.O.T. with onions and ham, then made some eggs. It was tasty. And I’ve got a strawberry daiquiri pie in the fridge - it’s a strawberry pie made with lime juice and rum. My own invention, even if a recipe exists somewhere…

Wish I’d bought some ice cream - I have a hankerin’ for some NOW!!! * <sigh>*

mr ems is home in … 19 1/2 hours! Yay!

I actually did some real work today in the new job.

Relocation agent is telling me there is no where to rent in Oklahoma City unles I want a 1 bedroom apt with no washer dryer hook up. Funny that is not what I am seeing when I go online… anyway.

I am calling early quits today I need to clean the kitchen and master bath bathroom as the Realty people start trooping in tomorrow and I want to give this place a fighting chance at presenting itself well.

mmms - no where that the agent can get a commission off of.

These two LOLz are getting a lot of play in the voting these past ttwo days - please add your votes to the pile so ICHC will front page me. kthxbai
