Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high once again of around a hunnert. Still no promised rain. :dubious:
Janis glad somebody thinks my life is excitatin’. Also I went to sleep at seven-thirty last night. That’s what two bellinis did to me. Oh, have a good trip!
mmmmmms that relocation agent makes me go all :dubious:. Nowhere to rent in OKC? I’m glad you have resources that tell you differently.
MOOOOOM I like brekkies for dindin. Tonight is taco night at El Ranchero Swamp due to a request for tacos.
Now I go in search of more caffiene and brekkie for a very rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Summer has decided to arrive and my air conditioner has decided to make unhappy noises. Blurg.
Booked a small cottage in the Hamptons for a week in August while both kids are at camp (my son is now a lifeguard there so I no longer have to pay for him to go to camp! Yay vacation money!). Hubby will still be at work, but use cottage as home base, so we actually get to spend a week together.
Thankees, **GT **and Swampy!I normally go down and see the folks around my Burfleday. But since this year is gradjation, - I’m going down now. ( GEEZ. Florida in July, what was I thinking?) My baby sister sniffle Where does the time go? (BTW Swampy, Didja at least ENJOY the Bilinis afore you passed out asleep? ) Happy Tuesday all, I will try to keep up from Gatorland!
Rosie’s Sig to all!
I’ve been fussin’ (in a good way) at a co-irker. She went to the doc this mornin’ and had fluid drawn off her knee. Can’t believe she’s here! Anywho, I’m makin’ her sit down and stay off that knee. I just yelled into the next room: “Go sit down and get off that knee! Don’t make me come in there young lady!”
Indeed. Our record high for Sunday had been 98. It wasn’t broken by a degree or two, but by seven. 105! The next day, 105 again. 5 of the last 6 days have all set records. Helluva homecoming after cool Colorado.
Glad you found yourself a treatment, Spaz. Be well.
I have spent a very pleasant day working in the office I used to be in, before I got shunted off to the medical school office. It was so different, and so nice to be amongst the good crowd again. Not that I don’t like my new cow-irkers, they are mostly nice people but there is a tension and an atmosphere in that office which my previous one did not have.
I’m over there doing some archiving which largely involves throwing out a bunch of old exam scripts and shifting everything around in the cupboard, then putting all of this year’s scripts back into numerical order and filing them away too. I’m about 2/3 done, but I reckon if I’m really creative, I can make the job last through tomorrow as well.
Of course, to help it last out another day I did have to go home early!
Tonight is Fat Club which will not be very good. I gained a pound and a half last week, and although I was doing ok until the weekend, everything has gone south since then. Clearly drinking my own body weight in vodka on Saturday night didn’t help, even though I’ve lost a fair bit so there’s less body weight to count.
Summer’s here, too. We’re going shopping for more plants this afternoon. I want some more tomatoes and maybe some flowers for the front yard.
Spaz, I’m glad you’re in remission. Autoimmune disorders are indeed frigging horrible.
We’re back from the inlaws and I think we’re getting an international student to stay with us at the end of the week. I should be cleaning right now but I don’t want to start anything big because I know I’ll be sauteeing ten pounds of ground meat just when they call back.
Thing is, I consider having to go to the hospital as much as I did as a teenager a normal part of growing up. It didn’t mess me up any, but I do have a lot more compassion than I might have otherwise. You get used to the hand that’s dealt you. The autoimmunity is part of who I am, just like my hair color or my klutziness.
**rosie **- I was talking to a geek coworker and mentioned how you couldn’t do the jigsawaday site on your Mac. He said if you used Firefox, you could. I make no promises - I’m just passing it along.
37 work days to go.
Tuna steak for supper. And that’s pretty much all I’ve got. Except that my butthead boss is out for the rest of the week and he left me in charge. Lessee - last time we did the “chalk outline” in his office. What to do this time?? Ideas?? hehehe
Thanks! I’m sure I’ll get something, and I’m pushing through as many applications as I’m reasonably qualified for as I can… and a few that are borderline depending on how you count my work experience.
Had a Funemployment day with the hubby today; we went snorkeling ($4 for parking and I got to see a wider variety of fish than at the regular beach), then took the dogs to the dog park. This evening we’ll probably watch some television and laze about.
I’m seriously contemplating making panda bread, as I don’t make enough cute things out of food. This method could also be incorporated to make psychedelic cake if I wanted. I just got a terrible–er, terrific idea: I can use my angel food cake pan to make the garlic knot equivalent of monkey bread.
