If being idiotic was against the rules I would have been banned long ago.
It may be different in the other forums but I have not received a report on this poster in the forums I Mod. If you see something that you may believe breaks the rules report then post. We can’t act on anything we don’t see. He is not being protected. He is not samclem’s nephew. No one knows him personally. He has also not been warned since no one has reported a post that broke any rules to my knowledge.
Seems like Tom is willing to admonish that type of behavior in GD at least.
Each of the forums has a different purpose and must be handled differently in some aspects. Tom is trying to [del]herd cats[/del] moderate a debate as well as enforce the overall rules. Whether a particular post would need modding in one of my forums, well I would have to see it first. So far no one has reported a post by the poster in question in my forums. Or if they did and I don’t remember no official action was required. I can’t say anything about the other forums since I don’t get those reports.
But wrongly so. It seems to me that he’s using his mod powers to silence someone that he personally disagrees with.
