How do lugers know when to steer? It seems like they would have very limited visibility.
Is there a machine analogous to a Zamboni that resurfaces the ice?
I don’t think they surface the ice. Every time I see the luge, I’m struck how rough the ice is. You can see the sled bouncing over the ice.
