I’m not sure if its used everywhere, but I have a friend who constantly uses meh in her conversations. Sometimes I find her “Meh” usage totally out of context. So I must ask my fellow dopers, what is a definition for Meh?
It’s “feh,” only goyishe.
“Meh” is the new “whatever” of the day, only without the valley girl/bougeoise tone. It’s apathy at its most… apathetic.
Peh is a slightly more disgusted/disgruntled version of meh.
I’m fond of peh, myself.
Meh:
1 cup of Wirra
2 Tbsp. Oy
1 sprig Ugh, finely chopped
Alas, to taste
Mixed thoroughly, working out any lumps. Coddle for an hour. Let sit overnight. Serve cold.

I generally use “meh” to mean. “Whatever I’m referring to is not only not good, it’s so completely unimpressive I can’t even be bothered to hate it.”
. . . Which is exactly what “feh” has always meant. When did “feh” give birth to “meh?”

To me, “Feh” connotes mild disgust or displeasure, whereas “Meh” connotes total indifference.
“Eh.” (“I don’t know enough to form a judgment about it.”)
“Meh.” (“I don’t care enough to form a judgment about it.”)
“Feh.” (“I know enough that I don’t care for it.”)
I use a more whiney form, the “mjeh”, which has become popular in Sweden. It is sligthly less apathetic then the “meh” and a bit more negative.
I once wanted “meh” emblazoned on a t-shirt. Apathy at its most succinct.

I often find it odd that people take the time to compose a post about how they’re “meh” about something.
Not a definition, but the OP reminded of this:
A friend’s sister got a “Meh” instead of an “I do” from her husband at their wedding…
Of course, now “meh” has become an inside joke
I use meh for everything from “so there!” to “oh.”
It’s my initials.
To me, meh means “I give in to apathy. Fuck it. I don’t care any more.”
I see it as a verbal shrug.
Tis related to the Italian ‘boh’.
Of course the verbal shrug is usually accompanied by the physical one.
Feh would be ‘uffa’, and can fill for ‘ack’ as well…in case anyone is keeping score.
