Work was slammed crazy with the crazy people. And the Canes forgot how to hockey.:smack: On te bright side, I got my House of Swank Blackbeard shirt.

Weird work-related dreams haunted me last night. Something about having to re-model some bent aluminum pieces with the correct bend radius. I don’t know. My brain goes strange places at night.

**FCD **plans to put in the roof exhaust fan today and we’ll try to finish the wall panels in the shed. I’ve got laundry to do also, and I think we’ll have ribs for supper. I also hope to get our taxes finished and filed. Big day ahead, I guess.

I didn’t want to get up at 5, tho. Dammit. Happy Sunday anyway. Dammit. :stuck_out_tongue:

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Working today. Rah.

Not yet 7 and I’ve been productive. I emptied and refilled the dishwasher, pulled the ribs out of the freezer, and put out fresh towels in our bathroom. Go me!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 52 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 90 and N.O.S. for the day. The days plan calls for deheathenization, Sunday brunch at the church house, nappage, and gettin’ packed for the trip to Ye Olde Home Towne. Packin’ will not be a problem as temps will be low to mid 80s so shorts, a pair of jeans, and short sleeve pullover shirts will suffice. Plus undies and socks. Must have those!

{{{Sari}}} hope you’re feelin’ better today.

{{{Nettie}}} hope you’re feelin’ better as well.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point. One must be presentable after all.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I finally have a chance to sit down and say hi!

'Twas a nice weekend - all 3 girls came home, and #2’s boyfriend also came, and we all had a nice and relaxing time. We had all the good stuff Mrs. Bowser could make, roast chicken, chicken soup, different types of potatoes, chocolate chip cookies, lemon cake, muffins, and brownies . . . and beer battered tofu for the vegans.

They’ll all be back the beginning of next week for our seder. I’m looking forward to it.

The handyman guy came on Thursday night, so now we have a new sink/vanity/mirror in the main bathroom. I don’t know how the people who used to live here managed with what they had. A different guy is supposed to come this afternoon to install glass doors around the shower in our bathroom.

Not good news received from my sister and BIL. He’s got another bone infection in his foot, and it’s spreading and causing him major problems. They sent him home with a “tunneled catheter” and trained my sister to administer IV antibiotics for the next 6 to 8 weeks. This is his second go-round with this, and the doctors told him they’re not optimistic that the drugs will work. If they don’t work, he’s going to lose at least part of his leg.

Happy Sunday!

It’s bright and N.O.S. outside, but a bit chilly.
It’s supposed to warm up to 65.

Feeling better this morning. Which is a good thing since we have to go pick up the grocery order today. Tomorrow I have to take the cable company stuff back to the cable company.

FCM - did you have to mention the dreaded T word?
I need to start on them, but that can wait until tomorrow. I feel better, but not that much better. My brain still hurts.

We went to breakfast at the cafe and shortly we will put up the rest of the wall panels. **FCD **decided he doesn’t want to do the exhaust fan today. So that’s fine - 4 panels and 2 really small ones - easy peasy!

Then laundry. rah.

Bowser; nice story about the visit, not so nice for your BIL. Hope the antibiotics work for him.

FCM, did my Krispy Kreme early morning run and besides the glazed donuts, picked up some chocolate milk (because that’s healthy, right?)

Got my June-July cruise final-billed, so now it’s just a matter of time. And if five days a week of soccer isn’t enough, I’m holding a special ‘goalies only’ practice this afternoon. So I’ll only have Monday off from soccer…and it’s due to rain all day then.

All those with ills take care and get feelin’ better.

Up and walked the dog and cat. Fed the dog and cat and gave them their heart worm and flea medicine. I have laundry and general spiffing. ''Tis not too bad. Hubby said he is going to Home Depot for shelving for his downstairs a/c junk room. Home Depot is about 30 miles away.

His son and family are down but they brought a travel trailer and are staying at a local campground which is a good thing cause our house is too small for that bunch. Between the son and his wife they have six kids. I think they only brought three though. One of the six is the granddaughter who is getting married next weekend.

If I were a good wife and step mother and grandmother I would make a fuss and cook a big meal but alas I am not. I will just carry on and they can do their thing. I am not on vacation.

Happy Sunday all.

I hope that treatment works well for your BIL bowser.

I’m chilling pretty much today. I need to hang a new curtain rod in the bedroom at some point. That should take all of 10 minutes. :stuck_out_tongue: My friend is bringing the bike back down to my place this afternoon, so I may suit up and go on a ride (I’ll need an extra layer since it’s only about 60F). Other than that, playing in the studio and prepping breakfasts/lunches for the week. Salmon patties, crack broccoli and rice for supper. I may even make some broth for the freezer.

Taxes are done and the check is going in the mail in the next day or so. Dammit. We didn’t have enough withheld last year and got hit with an underpayment penalty - of $8!!!

Golly, gee, did our underpayment cause Herr Prezident to miss a tee time??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, we’ve adjusted our W-4s for this year an if our calculations are correct, we should be closer to even next year. I hope. It sucks that we get penalized because we earned more in 2016 than in 2015 and we didn’t withhold enough. Our whole tax system sucks - you almost have to hire a tax service to keep it all straight. It shouldn’t be that hard.

[/end whine]

**FCD **went to the office, so I’m doing laundry. We’ll work on the shed when he gets back, if he feels up to it. I don’t much care either way.

I stopped at Panera to get a snack on the way home from bRUNch; guess I really ran up a hunger this morning.
Iffn one should get 8 hours of sleep I should have about a three hour nap coming up, unfortunately gotta get groceries, then do some taxes & edit some videos. Guess I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

Bowser sounds like a lovely family visit.

Yes, this is a well-known fact: sugary snack + healthy or diet beverage = no net calories :stuck_out_tongue:

Still fighting this persnickety whatever it is. Woke up this morning and couldn’t talk - again. Can kind of croak along with liquids to hand. Going to doctor tomorrow I think.

Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and brunch. Both were good. Lots of food on hand but my favorite today was some meatballs 'n gravy. The meatballs were ground beast 'n snausage combo which, IMO, is the best kind of meatball. I had a couple and then went back and got a couple more. Also, there was ‘nanner puddin’ which always makes me happy.

Bowser yay for good visit. Hope the meds help your BIL.

Sunny if said sugary snack is broken, then it’s even healthier cause the calories leak out.

Next up, nappage.

Them that is sick - Stop that!!! Right now!!!

Wifey records ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ and watches it (sometimes) from bed before going to sleep, and, since I like to sleep with Wifey, I get to see it too. Makes me despair for the future of the species, it does. Although it does explain a lot.

I remembered another one of my dreams. I was buying a very creepy house full of weird ‘paintings’ that moved and did things. Other people were there too, but I don’t know why. Probably so that we could ‘split up’ and some of them get murdered in interesting ways, I suppose.

Wifey has gone to the art museum with 12 or 14 of her sketchy friends, to sketch. (They’re all artists or wannabe artists) Wifey does pastels and has actually sold a few pieces.

I would like to mow at least the back yard today, iffen it doesn’t rain like TWPTB said it would. As I’ve said before, the dogs are small and tend to disappear out there, and since they’re usually up to no good, I like to keep an eye on them.

We have ants in the kitchen again. I will probably spend part of the afternoon cleaning off the counters.

I had other ideas about how to spend my unsupervised day, but oh well. :stuck_out_tongue:

Doggio, I like the shirt but don’t understand what Blackbeard has to do with hurricanes, or hockey.

Nappage has been achieved. The idea of goin’ to that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner is bein’ tossed about. It might happen but as of right now I am more in favor of foragin’ as one feels the need to feed.

Since we didn’t lunch, we had an early supper - smoked ribs (YUMMMMMMMMMM!) and tots cooked in the toaster/convection oven (which I  greatly), and onions-n-shrooms sauteed together. I may be nice and take my sweetie to DQ for dessert a little later.

He went to work, and when he came home, he didn’t want to work on the shed. So after we finished the last of the laundry and put it away, he took a nap and I crocheted in front of Netflix. It’s been a mostly lazy day - huzzah! Guess I’m ready to go back to the grind in the morning.

The executive decision to forage as desired has been made. Neither one of us wants to go about the public. I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can down to the road so all chores are now officially done.

DQ was a nice treat. We’re both in veg mode. It’s been a pretty good weekend. Then Monday will ruin everything. :frowning:
