A Dice Wars Proposal, For Addicts. My confession.

Here are the notes on my 34th notable game found in my screen capture folder recorded on Debut. I call it Ultimate Dicewars.

I grow my SW sleeper while messing around inside. After many rounds of biding my time and watching my center disappear, I end up with 4 dice in the SW corner facing Orange 4. Orange attacks and as defender, the odds are slightly in my favor. Thanks to Zeus, I end up master of the two foxholes controlling the SW. Otherwise, quick death. Then it’s up to me, Purple.

I say, let’s you guys fight while I nibble at the minor players. Pink emerges the obvious powerhouse early on. Since I’m a minor player at this point, I can count on Sweet Pea’s AI not to destroy my game while it’s dealing with Pink. Shielded by Sweet Pea, I build up. Once Pink conquers Sweet Pea with my help and I’ve swallowed Orange and Forest Green, I divide Pink and conquer. I laugh twice on the sound track, unable to contain my amazement at my cleverness.

Is there a market for this shit or am I really alone in my favorite time waster?

I actually curse the day some doper mentioned that time waster…

But yeah, it can waste your time, I still play from time to time but I have to say that I never got to imagine little beings controlling the opponents…

…Cheating computer bastard AIs, I would call them.

What pisses me off is when all the AI players appear to declare a truce and form an alliance against me.

Fun little game, but after spending a couple days playing it, it gets a bit predictable and easy. I wish there were additional elements of strategy and a stronger AI.

My favorite games are the ones where I end up with an isolate in the corner (because of an unfortunate initial position) and let the computer teams battle it out amongst themselves.Thenm at an opportune moment, I start attacking and growing like a cancer across all the world until I take it over. (That is, unless I suffer some bad luck initial rolls and my ass royally kicked.)
